I am continually inspired by the creativity of my students and I love to share my technical experience and enthusiasm for photography in my teaching practice.

I teach workshops on a variety of topics to students of all ages, though my area of focus is on continuing education for adults. The excitement of my students is contagious and I never tire of undertaking the journey of teaching a new process or helping my students deepen their work.

With every workshop experience, I find that as I sharpen my teaching skills, the students help me learn something of my own. Sometimes it’s a small technical detail about process that I hadn’t discovered through my own experiences with it. More often than not, however, these discoveries are more fundamental, continuing to shape my understanding of why people photograph and how photographs have the power to move us beyond words.
